Diamond Duke is a 3 reel slot with 3 rows and 5 fixed paylines. The slot has a retro theme and it is designed to look like an old fashioned fruit machine. As such, all of the symbols are thematic and they include a big blue diamond, a red seven, a golden bell, a watermelon, some grapes, and some cherries. Diamond Duke is a 3×3 retro-styled slot machine but with just enough features to keep you hooked. Furthermore, the game comes in with 5 active pay lines and a theoretical RTP of 96.23%. All the winning combinations are paid from left to right.

This Diamond Duke slot is a fruit machine, it has fruits as the low paying symbols and then diamonds and 7s as the high paying ones. It’s a classic in the simplest way. What this has to start with is a good paytable.

Our Thoughts on Diamond Duke

In a conclusion, we can say that Diamon Duke is a 3-reel old-fashion-themed simple slot. It has high volatility, great payouts, classic symbols, and atmospheric sound to provide more fun for you (especially if you are from the ’50s).

Diamond Duke Slots

But all this pre-casts into the fact that it fits only to a certain group of people.

So, is it worth trying luck with this slot machine for a couple of dozens of spins – Yes! Do we think that it will become a new bestseller and a regular game on streams – No! That’s why we are giving it 3 stars out of 5.

If you’re still on lockdown and have been looking forward to some new online slots to try, then the time is now.

I’m highlighting four mid-May slot releases, each with very distinct gameplay differences. While I like to see a lot of action on the screen, I know that everyone doesn’t have the same taste. But you may be surprised at which games have more going on than the others.

The first game on the list is a retro-inspired three-reel machine. A small screen typically equates to boring in my book, but not in this case. Two bonus wheels and multiplying multipliers are anything but tedious.

I’ve also got a few middle-of-the-road games with 20 and 25 paylines of possibilities, followed by an entertaining new Megaways game. So, I’m starting with five lines and concluding with 117,649!

We’re going old-school with the first slot release on my list. Quickspin’s Diamond Duke is perfect for players who like retro gaming combined with some modern features.

Most games are getting bigger these days, moving past five reels and into expanding rows and columns for more payout possibilities. But Diamond Duke heads in the opposite direction. It’s compact and packed with a punch.

Two Bonus Jukebox Selections

An old-fashioned jukebox holds the three-reel, five-line game screen. At the top of the reels, two bonus wheels are the key to the top prizes in the game. One is a multiplier wheel, and the other is called a bonus wheel. It’s basically the same as the multiplier wheel, though, with some bonus round wedges added for good measure.

When you make it to the bonus, you’ll “pick and click” for prizes. If your radar is on target, you could get as high as X8,000 based on your bet. With wagering possibilities ranging from 0.10 to 100.00, that would be an exciting result!

Diamond Duke isn’t your typical three-reel slot, as there’s quite a bit going on in a small space. Wheel scatters lead you to wheel spins and, possibly, a bonus round. You can also get to the multiplier wheel by filling the screen with the same nine symbols.

The jukebox and special effects will take you back in time to a ‘50s diner, where the cherry on top of your sundae is the multiplying multipliers. Wedges on the wheels go up to X10, and two-wheel spins are combined. So, if you hit an X10 and an X10, your multiplier is X100.

Don’t let the three reels fool you, as Diamond Duke is full of surprises.

Asgardians

Diamond Duke is a three-reel slot with a lot of action. Asgardians, on the other hand, has five reels and potential for excitement. After all, the Avengers movies took Thor, Odin, and Loki to new heights. Instead, though, this is a relatively uneventful game.

Asgardians is a perfect game for beginners or anyone who doesn’t like too many interruptions. Yes, there are two bonus rounds, but they’re not over the top.

Betting starts at 0.25 and allows for up to 25.00, with 1.00 on each of the 25 paylines. The board has the standard 5×3 setup with a simple blue background. You will see Odin, Loki, Thor, and Freya circle the reels, but the trickster is behind the big payouts. Loki is not only wild but valuable, with an X7,500 prize for five on a line.

Three Asgard symbols showcasing the Bifrost bridge lead the way to one of two bonus rounds. For the scatter-driven one, you’ll get ten spins with triple-pays on anything you win.

Throwing Hammers

A second bonus round revolves around Thor’s Mjölnir hammer. Three hammers trigger a custom pick and click game. You’ll throw the weapons at shields for prizes until you come up short with a blank.

There’s not much more to say about Asgardians. It’s simple video slot gaming with a few bonus twists. It’s too bad that Endorphina didn’t do more with the subject matter, as there’s a lot of room for the creative juices to flow. But I recognize that some people like to keep things simple, so this new May 2020 slot will fit the bill.

Sylvester Stallone isn’t a stranger to the slot reels. Depending on where you play, you could find plenty of games based on Rocky Balboa, the memorable boxer.

Two Rambos

Rambo, the new May 2020 release by Stakelogic, isn’t even the first to feature John Rambo. iSoftbet has a 720-ways to win machine with the same title. Stakelogic’s 20-line slot is the second in a series of three through a partnership with Skyrocket Entertainment. The Expendables Megaways unveiled in February of 2020, and Hercules is up next.

In this translation, Rambo circles the reels as the top dog. Five faces will get you 100 times your bet, which can be anywhere from 0.20 to 25.00.

On the surface, this is a pretty simple 20-line game with a free spins round. However, Stakelogic’s trademark Super Stake side bet adds to the excitement if you’re willing to pay the price.

Super Stake requires a double bet, increasing the maximum to 50.00. If you’re in it all the way, then you get a few perks. Scatters are added to the first two reels, as well as extra and explosive wilds.

Explosive Wilds and Hissing Snakes

When an explosive wild appears, the impact results in a shifting wild reel with re-spins.

Don’t be afraid of the cobra, as its hiss could reward you with free games in the bonus round. The cobra is the scatter symbol, and five will get you 50 spins instead of venom.

I like a lot of high-intensity action, so I’d prefer more features. But Rambo is a middle-of-the-road slot with enough to keep you engaged for a while, but you wouldn’t have to read the instructions to keep up with the features.

So far, the new May slot releases have stuck to fixed paylines ranging from five to 25. But Blueprint Gaming is upping the ante with Legacy of the Gods from its popular Megaways collection.

More Than 117,000 Ways to Win

You don’t need me to tell you that the theme is nothing new. Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece have been twisted and turned into all kinds of configurations on the slot screen. Aphrodite, Athena, Ares, and Zeus are back once again. This time, though, they’re dropping, disappearing, and reemerging, as there are up to 117,649 ways to win.

Legacy of the Gods is a cascading game. So, every time you win by matching up identical symbols from left to right, those images disappear. Symbols removals prompt the ones above to drop, and new ones to come in from the top. You could potentially keep the free re-spins in motion for quite some time, as long as the wins continue.

With so many ways to win, payouts are going to be much less valuable than what you’ll find in a five or 25-line game. However, Megaways slots are designed to focus on quantity as opposed to quality. Zeus is at the top of the list with X50 for six across the board, and it’s not uncommon to receive several payouts in a single spin. This slot has a relatively high 97.05% RTP.

Betting ranges from 0.10 to 10.00. However, you could risk more if you’re willing to put up 100 times your stake. Legacy includes a Divine Bonus Bet option. It gives you the ability to buy your way into one of four free spins rounds whenever you get antsy.

Buy or Earn a Bonus

Whether you earn it by collecting lightning bolt scatters or purchase a bonus by paying X100, you’ll select one of four bonus games. Your decision depends on whether you like to be aggressive or play it safer.

You can opt for more spins (starting at 15), with an increasing multiplier that goes up by X1 with each in a series of consecutive wins. Or, you pick fewer spins (starting at five) for a shot at X3 multiplier bumps. There’s also a mystery bonus option if you’re indecisive.

Legacy of the Gods may not venture into unchartered territory with its theme, but its gameplay will keep you on your toes. With up to 117,649 ways, you’ll be watching those symbol drops closely.

And to amp up the entertainment even more, there are mystery legion symbols that’ll magically morph into other images.

Conclusion

Slots game developers always do their best to keep their virtual machines unique and exciting. While I wouldn’t say that the themes are anything to write home about in the mid-May releases, the presentations and gameplay take things to the next level.

My usual preference would be the Megaways game, which I do enjoy, but I was pleasantly surprised by Diamond Duke. It’s a well-designed slot that has you looking in all directions. One or two wheels are spinning, pick and click boards are popping up, and you get a bonus for nine matching symbols. Plus, it accommodates most budgets with a range of 0.10 to 100.00.
